The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will release the exam city intimation slips today, November 18, for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) recruitment examination scheduled on November 28, 2024. Candidates can check and download their slips from the official RRB websites corresponding to their application region.
Exam Dates and City Intimation Slips
The first Computer-Based Test (CBT 1) for RRB ALP recruitment (CEN 01/2024) will be conducted on the following dates:
- November 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29, 2024
City intimation slips will be released in phases:
- Nov 16: For exams on Nov 26
- Nov 17: For exams on Nov 27
- Nov 18: For exams on Nov 28
- Nov 19: For exams on Nov 29
RRBs will notify candidates via SMS and email on their registered contact details when their city intimation slip becomes available.
Admit Card Release
The RRB ALP admit cards will be issued four days prior to the exam date mentioned on the city intimation slip. For example, if your exam is on November 28, your admit card will be available from November 24, 2024.
Recruitment Drive Overview
The RRB ALP 2024 recruitment drive initially aimed to fill 5,696 vacancies. However, this number has now increased to 18,799 vacancies following additional requirements from Zonal Railways.

Selection Process
The RRB ALP recruitment process includes five stages:
- CBT 1: Qualifying stage
- CBT 2: Shortlisting for CBAT
- CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test): For specific posts
- Document Verification (DV): Validation of eligibility
- Medical Examination (ME): Fitness check
Note: There will be no negative marking in the CBAT, but CBT 1 and CBT 2 will apply a penalty of 1/3 marks for each incorrect answer.
